Replacement Relay for G5B-1-E

I need a relay that matches the 4 pin G5B-1-E I believe they have stopped making this one. But I need it to fit on this dryer board.

I believe this is a partial part number. Do you know what the coil voltage is of your relay?

24VDC

I haven’t been able to find anything so far that matches the physical footprint of this relay.

Dang I will just take my chances with one off eBay. Let me ask this since this is a No relay there shouldn’t be any continuity between the pins for the switch correct.

That’s correct. A normally open switch would have no continuity when the coil is not activated.

It’s strange about that footprint. We used to carry several makes/models with it, but they have all gone obsolete. One can find similar arrangements where the switch contacts are closer to the coil contacts and others where they are further away, but this particular spacing seems to have gone extinct.

So they completely changed over to the G5Q series and just told everyone they had to redesign there pcbs? I don’t think I can make any of the G5Q series relays work on this board.

G5Q-1(4)(-EU)(-HA)(-PW) Could be used this board I just don’t know how it would work.

Hi Timonnnn,

I think you would have a hard time making the G5Q work because the pole (pin 2) and the normally-open contact (pin 3) are on the same side rather than the opposite side like the G5B. If the pole were on pin 4 it would probably do.

If you can do some modification for a one-off application (fixing a single board rather than many boards), then the following part could possibly be an option:

Here’s it’s footprint of the T77S1D10-24:

And here’s the footprint of the G5B relay:

The T77 relay has a similar arrangement except that the pole and NO contact are 0.5" and 0.6", respectively. The more distant pin of the G5B is on the opposite side compared to the T77 relay. This means that the NO pin of the T77 would be in the same place as the pole of the G5B at 0.6".

If you soldered a small jumper to from the 0.5" pole position of the T77 relay to the hole at the 0.7" position of the G5B footprint, you might make it work.

Certainly not ideal, but might be possible if you have the room and capability of soldering ot those pins.

Let me ask you this instead of jumping across can we move the spot? To the portion that is soldered I have no way to find the data sheet on this board. So I’m unsure if the other spot but they are on the same tracer.

Oh boy, I really can’t say on that for sure. You’d have to decide.

If that “spot” is just a blob of solder filling in that hole, then it quite possibly could work. Those two points are obviously connected together by that dark trace, so if you can remove that solder, then you might just be in business with the T77 without further modification.

yes I can remove it I’m willing to try it these boards are a dime a dozen. It’s kinda sad how many of these boards are around my desk.

I will order one and throw it on there and let you know how it works. Also one last question you wouldn’t happen to have this part under a different name? They are on a certain type of dryer board and Amazon’s price is steep. I couldn’t find it but thought I would ask.

Hello @Timonnnn

I researched this part and traced it to Panasonic’s PS-A series (P17130-ND). Unfortunately, that base part is discontinued and shows as Obsolete with Panasonic.

At this time, aftermarket sensors like the one you found appear to be the only sourcing option for this application.

Hi Timonnnn,

@jon_11475 has the series right, and yes, that Panasonic series is obsolete.

The following two pressure sensors have the identical 6kPa sensing range and might be worth a look:

  • ADP51B63 Pin-out and electrically identical to ADP51B62 (It’s now obsolete too, but some are still currently in stock). Slightly offset barb position. The little side barb can be ignored for this application.

  • MPVZ4006GW7U Pin-out identical to ADP51B62, Body practically identical, Barb identical, electrically very similar.

It looks to me that both the ADP51B6x and the MPVZ4006GW7U were probably designed to work in the same applications.

Thank you I really appreciate you guys this is my first time using DigiKey and you don’t know how nice it is to have my question directly answered instead of searching for the answer for hours. I started doing board repair which my electric focus degree didn’t really help me with. Thank you I will order some of these and let you know how they work and compare incase anyone else every has the same questions.

It’s me again is there a replacement part for OZ-SS-112LM1F,000?

Hi Timonnnn,

From the OZ-SS-112LM1F,000 datasheet:

Take a look at the following for very similar options:
