The standard square header size is about 0.64mm, but we need them to be 0.5mm for our electronic PCB:s.
The total connector height can vary between 7-10mm.
I have looked at the usual sites, but I cannot find the connector we need.
I can only find with the standard 0.64mm square headers.
Can you please help me, with this matter?
From ChatGPT:
If you specifically need exact 0.50 mm square pins
The vast majority of standard 2.54 mm headers use ~0.635 mm square pins.
If you must have exact 0.50 mm square pins (instead of the common 0.635 mm),
you might need specialty headers (e.g., Samtec HTSW series or similar), but these are usually for larger counts rather than just 2 positions and are less common.
I’m not finding anything that would meet the description given.
While it cannot be said said with certainty that such a product does not exist, it should be noted that when a product becomes commoditized to the extent that headers of this type are, it becomes commercially hazardous to produce a similar product that is subtly different and non-conforming to the expected norm.
My suggestion would be to re-design the PCBs to accept pins of the standard size; insisting on use of something exotic will likely result in supply chain difficulties and maintenance headaches for the life of the product otherwise.
I did a fair amount of searching and I was unable to find anything smaller than 0.63mm pin width. We don’t have a way of searching by that feature as you have likely found.
