Sensor Evaluation Boards are a circuit board(s) that are populated with components and used to provide a working example of a specific integrated circuit or device. The boards in this family provide examples of a variety of sensors such as accelerometers, barometric pressure, gyroscope, temperature, humidity, optical, light, air quality, capacitive, carbon dioxide, fingerprint, encoders, fluid, gas, infrared, joystick, and magnetic, plus many more.
SelectionCharacteristics
Sensor Type: Indicates which type of sensor the board’s focus is, and what functionality that sensor provides.
Sensing Range: Indicates the range(s) of a physical input quantity over which a device is capable of producing a valid measurement.
Interface: Indicates which data communication interface the board uses to relay the focus sensor’s information to a host system.
Sensitivity: Typically, this would indicate the change in output corresponding to a set change in input. For example, a device with a sensitivity of 50mV/g, the output will change by 50mV for every gram of change from 0.
Voltage - Supply: Typically represented by a range, this indicates the low and high voltage limits which one can expect standard operation. Voltages outside this range may damage the device and other system components.
Embedded: Indicates whether or not an evaluation board/kit incorporates a processor of some type, and provides a rudimentary description of such if present.
Supplied Contents: Indicates items included with purchase.
Utilized IC / Part: Indicates the central integrated circuit the device is designed around.
