SIL 16 way PCB thru hole solder socket with blade contacts

I’m trying to locate a SIL 16 way PCB thru hole solder socket with blade contacts to accept square pins. I can only see turned pin sockets which are not suitable. Please advise. Thanks!

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.

I only found one 16 way SIL type through hole one we have in part 16-0600-20-ND but that has posts not sockets.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by “socket with blade contacts for square pins”. Do you have a picture or an example of one in a link?

There are basic headers like A26489-ND that we have in stock which are 16 positions through hole socket type. Is this something along the lines of what you’re after?

Thanks for your reply.

In the following photo you can see the pins on an ESP32 board on the top and part of a 16 way header underneath. The two parts have been disconnected in order to show the square pins and the square holes in the SIL socket. The square pins do not fit into round turned pin sockets.

These used to be called bladed contacts, but that was a long time ago and things have changed!

If you can identify a suitable 16 way socket, or a description for the filter on the DigKey website that would be great.
