Hi. I’m looking for a product similar to TMR 6-0511, but with a 12 volt output. Is there a product DigiKey provides that would fit that?

The datasheet for the series lists TMR 6-0512 for the 12V output.

Thanks! We’d be looking for something with closer to 2 amps of output, is there an option like that?

Hi eatonhopkins02,

A 2A version would be outputting 24W rather than 6W, so quite a difference. The possible options will most likely be larger and/or a different form-factor. To help narrow down your options, can you tell us a few things about your requirements?

Specifically,

  • Do you need the output to be galvanically isolated like the TMR 6-0511?
  • If so, what is the minimum acceptable isolation voltage?
  • What is your input voltage range (min and max possible input voltages)?
  • How much board space do you have available?
  • Do you need an output enable pin, like the TMR 6-0511?
  • Any other required specifications?

Just to give you an idea what we’re looking at, here’s a link to all of the board-mount DC-DC converters which output between 2A and 5A at 12V without filtering for any of the characteristics above.
