- trying to id this part, burnt on pcb, appears to be a diode (0.6 forward biased, 1.566 reverse biased) connected across 12 vdc input to pcb, looks like reverse protection not sure if just a diode or zener or transient voltage suppressor ? thanks
Can you provide a better photo of the part so I can see what the package/case size looks like?
Thanks for emailing me, I ended up finding the same component on the board in the opposite corner, looks like it was just a filter cap on the 12 volt input line, 100uF/16 volt tantalum.
Use a 478-9490-1-ND to replace it. I should go find that post and close it.
Strange no reason that I could find that it blew up and shorted, customer went away happy. ![]()
