SMD indentification

Hi,

I need some help identifying this part. It’s on the 12VDC input to the back-light power supply for an HMI. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello clarocque,
Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.
The closest item I found with a 20 marking, is SML4747-E3/61GICT-ND, but the size seems off.
This one is about 4.00-4.50mm long and 2.50-2.80mm wide.
Please check the datasheet to verify compatibility to your application.
Maybe one of the engineers can help pinpoint the type of item this may be.

Hi David_1768. Thanks for the quick reply. The guy in this video has a very similar HMI with what looks to be the same failed component just a different value. He says it’s an inductor but a zener would also make sense.

Well the guy in the video did mention a fuse and it looks like he was right.

I’m glad you found the right item.
Thank you for keeping us posted on what you found out.
I searched our system for 1210 size or similar, and 2A fuse. Usually the ones on the circuit board like this, are fast acting fuses. Click here for the options we have available.
