1528-1400-ND (click here) is a single cell 3.7V / 4.2V lithium-ion or lithium polymer battery charger powered from 5-6V DC via 5V 2A+ 5.5mm x 2.1mm wall adapter, a micro USB cable, or 6V solar panel and is able to simultaneously charge one battery while providing 3.2V up to 5-6V to an output device.
- 3.7V/4.2V Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer battery charger
- 5V solar panels don’t work, 5.5V panels sometimes work, 6V is really the best
- Automatic charging current tracking for high efficiency use of any wattage 6V solar panel
- Three color indicator LEDs - Power good, Charging and Done
- Low Battery Indicator (fixed at 3.1V) with LED output on (labeled CHRG)
- Set for 500mA max charge rate, can be adjusted from 50mA up to 1A by soldering in a resistor
- Smart load sharing automatically uses the input power when available, to keep battery from constantly charging/discharging
- Temperature monitoring of battery by soldering in a 10K NTC thermistor (1528-2091-ND) (not included) - suggested for outdoor projects where the battery may get hot (50°C) or cold (0°C).

If using a solar panel, a solder iron is required for capacitor mounting and most likely a 5.5 x 2.1mm barrel adapter cable (1528-2173-ND) or barrel adapter. Generally speaking, a larger solar panel is more useful for a larger capacity battery or output load. Please verify the datasheet on each product to ensure compatibility.
