Products in the terminal strip and turret board family are interconnect products consisting of an array of solderable terminals or terminal posts mounted to a sheet of insulating material, most commonly used as a junction point between the inner workings of a device or system and the external wiring connected to it during the course of installation. Relatively simple and inexpensive to produce, they’re often found in older equipment, though solderless terminal blocks are generally preferred for such tasks in modern applications.
SelectionCharacteristics
Type: Indicates the style and configuration of the device.
Terminal Type: Selection of termination style used to connect the device to a system, such as screw terminal or threaded stud.
Number of Positions: Indicates the number of distinct conductors presented at a connector’s mating interface and the number of electrical contact points present within a connector.
Pitch: Indicates the center-to-center spacing between adjacent pins.
Number of Rows: Indicates how many rows the connector has.
Row Spacing: The nominal center distance between rows of contacts as measured at the mating portion of a connector.
Board Size: Nominal dimensions of insulating /structural material; protrusions of contacts not included.
Material - Board: Indicates the material from which the insulative portion of the strip/board is made.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as a flange or heavy duty.
Material Flammability Rating: Ensures compliance with the relevant UL Flammability Rating.
