Toyota Supra A70 Mirror Connector

Hello,

I am looking for help to identify the connector and pin.
These are Toyota parts for a mirror connector used on the Toyota Supra A70.
I have found the Toyota part number and order the connector, but for the pin, they only sell a “repair wire kit” which is composed of the pin, the gromet and the wire. The bad thing is this “repair wire kit” cost 55$ CAD each, and I need at least 6. I will never paid 330$+tx for 6 pins…
Therefore, I need your help to identify the pin to be able to order the pin. If you also can identify the connector, I will take it too.

Below is the connector from Toyota (PN 90980-10558):

More pics will follow as I’m limited to 3 media in one post.

Below is the “repair wire kit” from Toyota (PN 82998-12290):

Thank you.

Hello seebyo,

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum. Unfortunately It looks like these contacts and housings are proprietary to the MFG and I was unable to find anything in our system that could match this. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello seebyo,

As mitch_13649 above me mentioned, we’re unlikely to be able to match these up as they’re proprietary. If you’re open to the possibility, however, we may be able to find you a 5 position connector that could work in place of their connector. If those ends must mate to each other, then we could probably replacement them with something else similar in size that we would also have the pins for. If each end must plug into a board, though, we wouldn’t be able to substitute them out.

Hello Mitch,

Thanks for looking.

Hello Klint,

Yes I would like to have a replacement connector for this one.
This doesn’t plug to a board, but to the mating connector. So, I can replace both easily.

Thanks for helping me.

seebyo,

Thank you for clarifying; are you able to supply some desired measurements as well as what size gauge wire you’re planning on using with the connectors? That will help us narrow the list of options to a more digestible size, as there are many 5 position free hanging connectors to choose from.

Klint,

It should be waterproof.
Connector shown above is 16x20x10mm.
For wire gauge, I don’t know as is it not written in wiring diagram, but it says 1.4mm in the picture of the repair wire.

seebyo,

If you’re looking for waterproof, then you’ll probably want to go with the 560 series from EDAC, Inc.

Receptacle: 151-1547-ND
– Female Sockets: 151-1161-ND Note: 1 unit = 60 pins

Plug: 151-1545-ND
– Male Pins: 151-1168-ND Note: 1 unit = 60 pins

Waterproofing Cap for both Plug and Receptacle: 151-1585-ND

There are more in this family that could work for substitutes for ones out of stock, however the other versions do not necessarily accommodate 1.4mm diameter wire.

Klint

Thanks Klint.
