yellow cacpacitor bottom right.. on it says 226A 3EX1 so A seemsm to be 10V 226 the capacitance uf? maybe 3EX1 no idea.. help please as I broke it off the board
Welcome to the TechForum!
The capacitor is a Tantalum capacitor. The “A” does call out the voltage of 10V. The capacitance is 22uF. The looks to be the ID Code according to KYOCERA AVX datasheets.
You will need to measure the part to find the correct size for your replacement.
Hello giz77,
Once you get the measurements, that will narrow down the choices. Also remember the Tantalum capacitors are polarized, so they have to be install the in the right direction. The bar on one end is for the Anode (+) side.
yeah its approx 3 x 1.6mm so 1206 size.. and I guessed the bar on the
one end was a polarisation indicator.. thanks for the info.. I know
which way the original was facing, sadly i found it on the floor after I
broke it off the board .. minus the solder connecting point on the one
side.. I’ll get a few ordered..
