Type of pins and crimping tool

------Question for 206037-1 Please Put your question below------

I have a customer with the exact connector above. It has male pins on it and we need to tie in two sensors into this connector. We typically don’t install these ourselves so I am checking to see what pins are needed as well as the type of crimper to be used for these style of pins.

Hello darrin,

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.

This connector uses the Female contacts.

There are many different contact pins that will work with this series of connectors.

Click here for all the Male pins for this series of connectors.

When you find the pin that matches your requirements (plating, wire gauge size,…), then you can look under the tooling tab, for the recommended crimper.

For example, pin number A31989-ND (Mfg # 1-66103-8), shows a hand crimper part number 58495-1, with is DigiKey part number A9920-ND.

You may have better luck looking at the BULK packaging pins for the crimp tool, as the Tape & Reel contacts are usually for an automated crimping system.
