Why does my part # have an (lf) (sn) suffix but it does not show this as the ordering part #

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum. (LF)(SN) = Lead-free with a 100% pure tin finish [SN is the Periodic Table of Elements symbol for tin]. This was an orderable part number, but as of this document
JST.Suffix.Prefix.chart.06.01.23.docx (16.5 KB), all versions are RoHS compliant and it is no longer needed, the base part number is sufficient to order but the (LF)(Sn) will still show on the label. See also the datasheet , page 3, note 1 which states: Note: 1. This product displays (LF)(SN) on a label.
