I have a client doing a research project which is looking for a way to wirelessly transfer a good deal of power. Unfortunately, due to the application, using a standard like Qi or whatnot won’t really work.
Basic requirements:
- 50-100W into the TX coil.
- A required minimum efficiency can’t be there because the received power is low due to distance.
- Frequency is my choice, but should be picked somewhere between 200k-1MHz. (Alternative would be 20-100kHz to consider induction cooktop drivers, but tbd on what’s available.)
I was hoping to use a Qi Charging IC where I could defeat the foreign object detection and other features, so I could use the chip overall.
Are there any chips that would fit this bill?
