Products in the Xenon lighting family include flash (strobe) lamps and short arc lamps suitable for pulsed or continuous wave illumination applications. The high-intensity, broad-spectrum light producible by such lamps is used in photographic and analytical applications including colorimetry, chromatography, spectroscopy, and other applications where a high-intensity, broad-spectrum illumination source is desired. Note that xenon-bearing incandescent lamps are excluded.
SelectionCharacteristics
Type: Indicates the style and configuration of the device.
Style: Describes the form factor for the part.
Output Power: Describes a lamp’s initial optical output or maximum output, in terms of power for continuous operation lamps, or watt-seconds (joules) for flash lamps.
Voltage: Typically represented by a range, this indicates the low and high voltage limits which one can expect standard operation. Voltages outside this range may damage the device and other system components.
Visible Output: The typical luminous output of a device under rated operating conditions.
Temperature: Recommended operating temperature, typically given in a range or as a maximum. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the device and other system components.
