Products in the Contacts - Multi Purpose family are interconnect system components which are typically applied to a conductor by means of a crimp connection, which can be used with multiple styles of corresponding housings. This allows the use of the same contact part number and application equipment to assemble similar connectors which are resistant to incorrect mating.
SelectionCharacteristics
Type: Indicates the specific style of the contacts.
Pin or Socket: Indicates whether or not the contact is pin or socket.
Contact Termination: Identifies how the contact attaches to the wire, such as crimp or solder.
Wire Gauge: Indicates the wire size or size range with which a product is designed for use.
Contact Material: Indicates the material composition of the contacts.
Contact Finish: Indicates the finish/plating material applied to the contacts.
Contact Finish Thickness: Indicates the thickness of the finish/plating material applied to the contacts.
