Recently Digi-Key was asked to provide the SM series rectangular connector series by JST. We do not currently carry this series but we do carry an excellent alternative by Hirose.
Specifically the 6 position panel mount option was requested - SMP-06V-N paired with SMP-06V-NC. This could easily be replaced by H3737-ND and H3802-ND. The panel cutout for these is within 2 mm and the current carrying capacity is a match at 3A max.
