I ordered a 2 layer DKRed board (simple connector breakout test board), designed in Altium. In the boards I received, some of the holes were drilled ~3x bigger than designed, causing shorts between signal traces and ground vias. The DKRed import shows the proper hole sizes, so I’m not sure what went wrong. I’ve attached pictures from the Altium layout, DKRed import preview, and received board. I like the idea of simple, inexpensive PCBs straight from DigiKey, but this error is going to cost me additional connectors, assembly, and a couple weeks of delay. I’m not sure how to avoid this in the future?
Greetings and welcome to the Forum. I will let those with more experience answer your design questions, but for the incorrect boards you have already received, please contact Customer.Service2@digikey.com and they will help you resolve the issue.
