FFC, FPC (Flat Flexible) Connector Contacts

This Product Selection Guide contains information to help select products in the FFC, FPC (Flat Flexible) Connector Contacts category on DigiKey.com

Products in this family are electrical contacts designed for application to Flat Flexible Cable (FFC) or Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) materials, and inserted into a housing as a means of creating a connector system for wire-to-board applications. Often used as a substitute for common “ribbon” cables that are terminated using Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDC) due to their lesser thickness, application of contacts to typical FFC material requires a higher degree of precision than the earlier IDC process and is more difficult to achieve without proper tooling.
