Grabber and hook-style test clip products are used to make temporary electrical connections, commonly using a J or hook-shaped contact that makes electrical contact with a conductor while also providing mechanical attachment under spring tension. They are generally better adapted to gripping small conductors than alligator test clips, though they also tend to be more fragile and susceptible to damage. Products designed to be directly attached to a test lead as well as those which terminate in a connector of some style are included.
SelectionCharacteristics
Type: Indicates relevant size standard.
Hook Type: A description of the device feature used to grasp and make electrical contact with a conductor.
Hook, Pincer Opening: The dimension of the grasping feature in its open most state; the largest object the device is suitable for grasping.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as a snap lock or insulated.
Length: Indicates the overall length of the device.
Length - Barrel: Indicates the length of the tip end below the head of the base.
Temperature Range: Recommended operating temperature, typically given in a range or as a maximum. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the device and other system components.
Termination: Selection of termination style used to connect the device to a system, such as banana plug, pin, or solder.
Color: The dominant color of the device.
Quantity: Indicates the total number of items included.
For Use With/Related Products: Defines other part types, numbers, or series with which this product is designed to be used.
