Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI)

This Product Selection Guide contains information to help select products in the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) category on DigiKey.com

Ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI) guard against accidental electrocution by monitoring the current traveling to and from an electrical load. A difference in current greater than 5 mA triggers a manually resettable electrical disconnect which quickly isolates power from the load. GFCIs can be added to existing circuits through in-line splicing, outlet box mounted modules, cord end plugs, or panel mounted sensing modules.
