Handles are supplementary parts that are designed to be added to objects to aid in lifting, pulling, carrying, and moving the object to which they are attached. Handles come in various types such as a drawer, flat-folding, hinged ends, inset, and rotating. They are available with heights ranging from 0.190” to 6.500” and lengths of 0.750” to 24.000”. The typical materials for handles are ABS, aluminum, brass, nylon, phenolic, plastic, polyamide, polycarbonate, polypropylene, PVC, stainless steel, steel, styrene, thermoplastic, and vinyl.
SelectionCharacteristics
Type: The type, style, or form factor of the handle
Height: The height of the handle, as measured from the surface the handle is mounted on to the furthest-most section of the handle.
Length - Center to Center: The distance between mounting hole centers, for products that are installed using multiple fasteners.
Thread/Screw/Hole Size: Describes the size of a fastener with which a product is intended for use.
Material: The dominant material of the handle
Mounting Type: Describes how the handle is intended to be mounted to the object it’s being attached to.
