I’m looking for a part with the number EE16-10 BO1902 DSX 2226 written on one side. It has 4 pins on one side and 2 pins on the other side. The back side of the yellow part is burnt and is presumed to be damaged. See pictures. I have tried to find it in a Google search without success. Where can I find a replacement?

Hejsan Håkan,

That yellow thing is a flyback transformer, thus is very unlikely the first component to fail. It looks like the failure is on the secondary side, thus something got shorted, or the feedback path is failing. It may be difficult to find a fix, but could say that the transformer is still fine.

A closer look at the pics reveal that the component U9 is completely blown out. Kindly provide additional close-up pictures.

Thanks! I didnt See this at first. The text on the damaged component U9 is partly gone, but seem to be GN in a circle (or possible QN or ON). To the right is a R above another letter. I guess that the component R150 is also distroyd.

I’d bet the U9 is an off-line switcher from ON semiconductors, such as NCP1072

However, as the marking is mostly damaged, it is very difficult to know the exact part number (there are many variants of the same base component NCP170x). It is likely that the R150 is not assembled.

Note: That part of the circuitry contains lethal line level AC voltages, thus extra care is required. It may be better to outsource the repair to a qualified technician.

Thanks for your answers. However, since I couldn’t find the right components I decided to buy a new charger.
