I need help identifying the part number of the IC. Making is “DADU 2303 POD”. It’s an 8 pin DFN Package and IC is used in CAN Interface.
I have narrowed it down to MCP2561 but can’t understand the circuit. The currect circuit only have two capacitors attached to the IC. Photo attached.
Appreciate the help.
Hello @m.umair.anwar
Welcome to the TechForum
I cannot tell from just the photo, but it looks to be set up in MCP2561’s typical application as seen in the datasheet. MCP2561/2 Data Sheet
My reason for this is because the bottom capacitor is connected to pin 3 (VDD).
The resistors seen in the schematic may be in another location because I can see a few different vias in the PCB board. If you have a slightly zoomed out photo of the chip on the board, we might be able to see those resistors.
Thanks for the comment. Appreciate the help
I checked the vias. pin1, and pin4 vias are direct connection to the microcontroller. I’ll double check the pin 8 connection, I only see the a capacitor on this pin.I’ll investigate more.
Thanks agian.
Hi m.umair.anwar,
From page 17 of the datasheet (see copy below), it is without doubt the MCP2562x-E/MF (MCP2562-E/MF, packaged in tube, or the identical MCP2562T-E/MF, packaged in tape and reel).
It should use a schematic similar to that shown on page 6 of the datasheet, with a cap from pin 3 (VDD) to ground and another from pin 5 (VIO) to ground.
