Identifcation of this Cap, tks

Marking are 100 16S 2A2

And if anyone has a good guide on Capacitors reading value that would be great.

Thanks for any help

Hello brian.springer – there are no hard and fast rules for marking of capacitors and it varies by manufacturer. In general, most aluminum electrolytic surface mount caps are marked with the actual capacitance value and voltage. I believe your capacitor is a 100uf 16V surface mount capacitor, but without knowing the manufacturer, I am not sure of the case size. Here are a few stocking options you can take a look at. You’ll want to verify the size as compared to your capacitor.

Thank you that helps
