Spiral wrap, or expandable sleeving, are designed to aid in wire management. They are made from various flexible materials to allow the cover, slit wrap, self wrap, sleeve, or spiral wrap to be easily manipulated around wire bundles. They are defined by the type, inner and outer diameters (expanded and non-expanded), material, color, and length. Some offer abrasion, liquid, and/or environmental protection options.
SelectionCharacteristics
Type: Defines the primary construction style of the device, indicating which type of product it is and determining its general usage.
Type Attributes: Provides differentiation among products of a similar type, having differences in construction or intended application.
Diameter - Inside, Non-Expanded: Nominal inside diameter of the material in its constricted state.
Diameter - Inside, Expanded: Nominal inside diameter of the material in its dilated state.
Diameter - Outside, Non-Expanded: Nominal outside diameter of the material in its constricted state.
Material: Indicates the material composition of the product.
Color: The dominant color of the product.
Length: Indicates the overall of the product.
Wall Thickness: The thickness dimension of the product’s walls.
Operating Temperature: Recommended operating temperature, typically given in a range or as a maximum. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the device and other system components.
Heat Protection: Indicates product resistance to heat or flame as indicated by the manufacturer.
Abrasion Protection: Indicates product resistance to various forms of mechanical abuse, as indicated by the manufacturer.
Liquid Protection: Indicates product resistance to fluids or fluid hazards as indicated by the manufacturer.
Environment Protection: Indicates product resistance to atmospheric hazards as indicated by the manufacturer.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as clean cut or fungus resistant.
Material Flammability Rating: Ensures compliance with the relevant UL Flammability Rating.

Width: Indicates the overall width of the product.
