Thermometers are equipment designed to measure and display temperature in either Celsius (C°), Kelvin (K°), or Fahrenheit (F°). The characteristics are type, temperature display, temperature range, display type, input type, and probe type. The types of thermometers are anemometer, handheld (Gun), or pocket, with temperature ranges from -418°F (-250°C) to 3212°F (1767°C).


SelectionCharacteristics

Type: Indicates the style and configuration of the device.

Temperature Display: The temperature scale(s) in which a device is capable of displaying a measured temperature.

Temperature Range: Recommended temperature range over which the device will perform to specification. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the device and other system components.

Display Type: Describes the user interface for indication.

Input Type: Indicates how the item takes the measurement.

Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as an alarm or auto off.

Probe Type: Indicates supported and/or included thermocouple types, or tip style for devices with integral probes

Battery Cell Size: Indicates the dimensions of the cells or batteries required by a device, in terms of industry-standard size designations.
