Touch screen controllers are integrated circuits that provide an interface between the touch screen sensor array and the device the screen operates. The controller receives position information from the sensor array which is usually resistive or capacitive. In turn, the position information is passed along to a microcontroller via a serial, parallel, USB, or UART interface.
SelectionCharacteristics
Touchscreen: Describes the touchscreen output that this device is compatible with.
Resolution (Bits): The length of the digital word used by a device to represent a continuously variable physical quantity.
Interface: The way the device is equipped to communicate the data it is measuring.
Voltage Reference: Indicates where the device can accept a voltage reference.
Voltage Supply Source: A general description of how the device is nominally powered.
Current - Supply: This represents the maximum current to which a device will meet its given specifications. Exceeding this current may damage the device and/or other system components.
Operating Temperature: Recommended operating temperature, typically given in a range or as a maximum. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the device and/or other system components.
Mounting Type: Indicates how the device is attached.
Package / Case: Describes the footprint and type of body the item has based on a general standard.
Supplier Device Package: Describes the footprint and type of body the item has based on what the manufacturer names it.
